The Oklahoma All-State Football Team
The Jim Thorpe Association began honoring the Daily Oklahoman's All-State Football Team in 1992. It has become a highlight of the football season as the players are introduced and presented Certificates of Commendation by the Governor of Oklahoma at the Jim Thorpe Awards banquet in Oklahoma City.
The Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year and the Coach of the Year receive Jim Thorpe trophies.
